Give a Christmas Gift to the Homeless

This is the 2nd Annual Feed and Gift the Homeless of Box Family and Friends. This year, their aim is to do a little more than their previous year and to focus more on gift giving instead of food.

Bingo Fun at Symphony of Lincoln Park (Formally Imperial Bingo)

Who? Age Minimum (with Adult): 7+, Minimum Age: 16+

The aim is to build community among seniors who require skilled nursing care by joining them for socializing and rounds of the popular game. Volunteers will help residents who need assistance with Bingo or simply chat and play along with those who are able to independently participate. Volunteers will be able to facilitate and provide fun and companionship for those who may have limited opportunities for social interaction.

Lakeview Seniors Pet Therapy (Non Pet Owners Only)

Where? Lakeview Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre

When? December 12, 19, 26, 2016 from 6:15 PM – 7:45 PM

Who? Age Minimum (with Adult): 10+, Minimum Age: 16+

Senior Diners Club at Lidia Pucinska Apartments

Where? Lidia Pucinska Apartments – Greenview (formerly Eckhart Park Apartments & Annex – CHA & CDOA)

When? Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 8:15 PM

This project occurs in a culturally diverse building that’s home to many Polish and Hispanic residents. Be ready to bring some fun and healthy foods to a lively group of seniors! Prepare and serve a healthy dinner to low-income residents and afterward join them in a spirited interactive game.
